EFTSecure – An Internet payment gateway developed and designed by Network 1 Financial. It currently supports 15,000 plus merchants: by far most feature-rich, user-friendly product available in the industry. The product is endorsed by many of the leading Independent Sales Organizations (ISO’s), banks, and Internet Gateway providers offering transaction management services through the Internet (this means that many other providers place their name upon the EFTSecure engine and market it as their own). The easy-to-use EFTSecure Shopping Cart (with catalog implementation features). We state for the record, its recurring functionality is a major advantage. It is a completely virtual terminal – no need to house any software on a server because Network 1 Financial takes care of that. Armory Trust Services strongly recommends this product – it is especially ideal and cost-effective for customers processing 1,500 or fewer transactions per month.

Verisign PayFlo Pro - Verisign is the "luxury model" of Internet payment gateways. It is more expensive but offers solid management and risk-control features, and can be modified to meet a customer’s electronic transaction processing needs. It functions in SDK format, so it needs to reside on a separate server and requires some expertise to operate. If you are planning to operate an e-commerce site with the expectation of 2,000 plus transactions per month, this may be the engine that best meets your needs! Authorize.net - Authorize.net is a good solid version of an Internet gateway. While it does not perform at the level of Verisign, it gives good overall support and is a good value for the money. Some features are limited, but their transaction platform is certified on most shopping carts. Additionally, their virtual terminal works with cell phones and PDA’s –- ideal for someone on the go.

Apriva / RIM - A relative newcomer that has leveraged its electronic commerce experience into the transaction processing arena. All of its wireless devices, starting with M500, are outstanding. Dependable and feature-rich with bar coding and scanning technology, including optional wireless printers. Their strongest advantage is their virtual interface that acts like a reporting tool to track one or many devices (unlimited) – ideal for a large delivery or service company. Their virtual terminal is solid and has the capability to be integrated with their own shopping cart to enable a number of e-commerce options. Provides the most features at a lower cost compared to the exist more expensive competitor.
